Several Mistakes Made With Eye Cream

Eye cream happens to be one of our favorite skincare products. If you have dark circles, puffiness, or crow's feet, using an eye cream as part of your daily regimen may help reduce eye irritation. But whether you're a beginner or an experienced eye cream user, there are some common mistakes you can make when using (or not using) this basic skincare product. Below, find out how to correct eye cream errors so you can incorporate this important product into your routine in the right way. Here are the wrong ways to use eye cream.

1.Using too much

Keep in mind that the skin around the eyes is actually a small area. In general, an eye cream the size of a pea should be enough to cover the skin below both eyes. It's a long way to go when it comes to eye care and creams! In addition, most eye creams cost more than other beauty products, so you will also get the most out of it.

2.Unordered application

Whether you realize it or not, the order in which you apply all your skincare products is important. But the more products you have as part of your daily routine, the harder it is to remember the order in which you put them on your skin. A simple rule of thumb to keep in mind is that products should generally be applied based on thickness. If your eye cream is richer and heavier than a moisturizer, it should be placed on top. If it's lighter than serum, make sure it's under a moisturizer. Of course, always check the instructions on the eye cream package to see if it should be used before or after the moisturizer.

3.Apply eye cream on dry skin

Here's another tip that not enough people realize: If you want to make the most of your moisturizer, apply it to moist skin. That's because using a humectant on wet or moist skin can help lock in moisture, and the same rules can be applied to eye creams. So, before you dry your towel after using your cleanser, apply the cream to the skin under your eyes while your face is still wet.

4. Place the product too close to your eyes

If the product is applied near the eyelids or eyelashes, it is too close. Simply place the product in a semicircle along the orbital bone, under the eyebrows and under the eyes, about half an inch below the eyelashes. By sticking close to the eye cream, you may run the risk that the eye cream will migrate into the eye, which may cause irritation.

5. Rubbing too much

The skin around your eyes is the weakest part of your face, so there's no reason to be rough about it. Instead, gently tap and tap on the pad of the ring finger to create an eye cream that feels more delicate than the rest of the fingers.

6.Moving too fast

Give your eye cream a rest before continuing with your makeup and applying foundation or concealer. This helps ensure that the product has time to absorb and prevents it from moving while you put on top makeup.
